It is always important to understand that relationships tend to be fragile connections with another individual that must be respected by both of those who are in a relationship. Both are responsible for providing unique value into the relationship, making a natural equilibrium within it. Usually problems within a relationship begin to occur when this balance is either broken, or disturbed. When this happens, the relationship begins to slowly deteriorate; usually leaving one person in the relationship still with hope that it can be resolved. Being the individual who feels this way can be very difficult, but there are always ways to rebuilding the equilibrium that originally comprised the relationship.
Be Resilient
Many people tend to think that showing overly devout compassion is a way to attract a love. For instance, being "clingy" or being desperate for that person. By doing so you are more likely to drive your ex away. By doing so, you can learn to find your inner strengths and be able to be independent for yourself. Rid yourself of thoughts that may drive you to unethical decisions, and set new standards of an independent personality for yourself, which is sure to present a positive aura about yourself around others.
Get Out of the House and Enjoy Yourself
Know that after difficult times with a relationship the best way to cope is to get out of the house and do the things that you enjoy. For instance, go see a movie or go to the mall with friends, help yourself to finding new forms of entertainment for yourself. Get to know what you enjoy and find out more about yourself. Another reason why this can aid you in the process of getting your ex back is that it will better provide you with fascinating stories to tell when having a conversation. Plus, your ex could easily realize how you're happy, and a key factor that people use to judge one another is whether they are or appear to be a happy person. A notable ability of self-sustaining traits is an admiral quality to be found in people.
Be Who You Are
Think of the reason that you and your ex were initially together; it could be anything from your looks, to how you think and act as a person. Think of who you were as a person at the time you initially began the relationship, and then try to differentiate yourself now from when the relationship began. The complexity of some relationships might make you forget what initially made both of you compatible. Being yourself is the most important thing to be found, because it allows others, like an ex, to be attracted to who you are, not an idea of who you want others to think you are. This is important in a relationship, and is essential in one that is long-term.
